Master of Imperfection
Minimalism is one of the ideas I introduce, eliminating everything to leave the very soul, the very essence.

Historic Garments
It’s scary working with fragile, old materials. You don’t know if the color is going to run, or the seams are going to split, but you’re taught to look at it and evaluate it in the right way.

Costs and Financial Aid

FIT is a college of the State University of New York. In addition to state funding, it receives support from the Board of Education of the City of New York. This means that we can share access to our world-class faculty and relevant curricula at an affordable cost.

The Financial Aid Office will assist you in seeking financial aid to pay for your college education which may come in the form of scholarship, grant, loan, Federal work-study, or a combination. Your financial Aid will be determined by the Cost Of Attendence (COA) and your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which is determined by your financial aid application, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Office of the Bursar is responsible for the collection of student tuition and fees; staff can also help you determine what payment options and other college/financial services might be right for you as well as determine New York State residency.
