Students learn to converse in Italian by emphasizing interaction in real-life situations. Functional and practical verbal communications are addressed with a focus on Italian culture. Course also taught in Florence, Italy, in winter and summer sessions.

IT 341 Introduction to Italian Literature

This course introduces students to Italian Literature from the Middle Ages to the contemporary era. Students examine the work of Italian authors in the genres of poetry, the novel and theater, with an emphasis on literary analysis through discussion and writing.
