FIT's Haitian Relief Efforts

FIT is deeply concerned about the tragedy unfolding in Haiti, which was struck by a devastating earthquake on January 12. Haitian relief efforts are being organized at many levels—from local communities to international efforts. We strongly encourage our faculty, staff, and students to get involved, to reach out to support the Haitian people at this time, and to continue to support them throughout the rebuilding efforts.

We will continue to come together as a community to be responsive to the needs of the Haitian people and will update you regarding our efforts in the next several weeks. Please continue to visit this site to find out how you can help.

At this time, relief agencies have indicated that the best way to help is through monetary donations.

Below is a list of some of the many organizations to which you can make donations. Please continue to visit this website to see an updated list of organizations. We encourage you to make your donation today.

American Red Cross

Note this list is not intended to be comprehensive and is offered for your convenience, not as an endorsement. There are other legitimate organizations to which you can donate. Please keep in mind that past tragedies and natural disasters have prompted individuals with malicious, or even criminal, intent to solicit contributions in the guise of a charitable organization or other good cause. Please see Advice to Donors for more information.
